The id is responsible for our basic drives such as food, sex and aggressive impulses. It is amoral and egocentric, ruled by the pleasure-pain principle; it is without a sense of time; completely illogical; primarily sexual; infantile in its emotional development; will not take 'no' for an answer. I stumbled into the clearance room at Ikea and found a bin full of fabric ends and pieces. Off-cuts, samples, etc. In all probability, had the prices been half what they were, I'd have ended up with twice as much fabric. These are the prizes, and I already have plans for a lot of it, but there is something about a bunch of random fabrics that just makes me want to Make Stuff.

I love the origami animals.
Oooooh, I love the color prints, all of them, because I LIKE color; lots of it, just not ON me-of course.
Regan - me too! I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's going into chair covers for the barstools.
Midnightsrain - I like colors too, but sometimes Ikea has that "clown barf" thing going on... too many colors, not enough theme. I like color schemes. Regan taught me the joy of using white fabrics for things (yay, bleach!), so I can tap into some interesting accents without having to re-do everything. That black & neon cloth is going to be the tv-cozy, along with the white fleece (on the left end).
Also, I'm a pattern-fascist. If it's not my pattern, it better be damn cool. Like.... origami animals!
