The id is responsible for our basic drives such as food, sex and aggressive impulses. It is amoral and egocentric, ruled by the pleasure-pain principle; it is without a sense of time; completely illogical; primarily sexual; infantile in its emotional development; will not take 'no' for an answer. Every post needs a title, or I can't find the comments later!
Yeah. I have been trying to limit my palette because I'm not sure about the rainbow thing... but I keep getting sucked back into these really intense, flowing color combos. If it ain't broke...?
Technically, not framed, but only because it's not on paper. This is a stretched canvas, about 2' x 3'. It's on the wall waiting for the paint to set. Oil paint needs about 6 months to fix the oil. (It's called drying, but it's actually a molecular reorganization that turns the oil from liquid to solid.)
ANYWAY! After that--I'm going to varnish it. I was thinking of trying one of the nifty varnish techniques where I paint some kind of intricate design in the varnish with a small brush, so there's a two-layer thing happening. Or maybe I'll just spray it on.

Holy crap. That's intricate. My brain's initial reaction to it was to file it under peacock, somehow.

I hope this one got framed. I'm totally crushing on it.

After ALL THAT, it could be framed. :)
